FFXIV October 2026 Activity Calendar: Fall Guys Returns, Patch 7.57 on Oct 13, and Keybound Brawler Lands Oct 28
FFXIV October 2026 Activity Calendar: Fall Guys Returns, 7.57 on Oct 13, Keybound Brawler Lands Oct 28
The Opening Hook: Three Crossovers, One Maintenance, One
New Gold Saucer Activity
Three FFXIV crossovers, one mid-month maintenance, and a Gold Saucer event cadence most veterans haven't seen since 2024 — that's October 2026 in a sentence.
A Nocturne for Heroes 2026 is still running until October 13 at 7:59 AM PDT, the Fall Guys collaboration reopens on October 7 at 1:00 AM PDT through October 27, All Saints' Wake 2026 opens on October 15, and the new FFVII-themed Gold Saucer activity Keybound Brawler arrives on October 28. Alongside all that, Patch 7.57 maintenance runs October 13, Same-Region Player Matching is rolling out globally, and Beastmaster's solo duty is still running from the 7.56 drop.
This piece is the October calendar you can pin to a second monitor. It does not re-categorize the FFXIV economy, re-rank mounts, or repeat Patch 7.56's Beastmaster summary — those live in earlier guides. It focuses on what's actually live, what's actually announced, and what to do first when each one opens.
One-Screen Overview
| Date (PDT/PST) | Event / Patch | Who can take part | Key takeaway |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oct 7, 1:00 AM → Oct 27, 7:59 AM | Fall Guys Collaboration 2026 (Blunderville) | Level 15+, Gold Saucer unlocked | Fifth-iteration rerun; only source of Rhiyes mount and Pink Bean / Pegwin minions |
| Oct 13, 7:59 AM | A Nocturne for Heroes 2026 ends | FFXV crossover players | Final day for the Regalia Type-G mount |
| Oct 13, full-region maintenance | Patch 7.57 maintenance | All players | Client bumps to 2026.10.06.0000.0000; housekeeping, no major content |
| Oct 15, 1:00 AM → Nov 2, 6:59 AM PST | All Saints' Wake 2026 | Level 15+ | Annual Eorzean Halloween — new Grisly Bear outfit + 6 furnishings |
| Oct 28 | Keybound Brawler launch | Gold Saucer unlocked | FFVII Remake-themed 4-player typing minigame, Gold Saucer's newest permanent content |
| Mid–late October → November | Same-Region Player Matching (NA/EU) | All players | Party Finder can match across an entire physical data center, not per logical cluster |
| January 2027 | Evercold (Patch 8.0) | All players | New expansion; level cap 100→110, two new jobs, FF7 raid, Ghosts of Desire alliance raid |
Three things to internalise before reading further. First, every official timestamp above is in PDT or PST — Square Enix hasn't moved to UTC display on the English Lodestone, so read the numbers literally as posted. Second, Patch 7.57 is largely a maintenance bridge; the headline 7.5x series features (Same-Region Player Matching, the 7.56 follow-ups) are sprinkled into 7.57, 7.58, and 7.59 across October–December. Third, the Beastmaster drop on September 8 keeps producing ripples: patch notes through 7.55 already added Phantom weapon final-form unlocks, and a small Beastmaster balance pass is expected before Evercold.
Fall Guys Returns: The Five-Iteration Rerun, Reopened
The Fall Guys × FFXIV collaboration is back for its fifth run. Window: October 7, 1:00 AM PDT → October 27, 7:59 AM PDT. There is no early-access phase; the gates open once and close once, exactly three weeks later.
How to enter Blunderville the first time
- Reach Level 15
- Have completed The It Could Happen to You quest (unlocks the Gold Saucer — pick it up from the Well-Heeled Youth in Ul'dah, Steps of Nald at X:9.6, Y:9.0)
- Travel to The Gold Saucer, speak to Lewena (X:4.8, Y:6.1), accept Just Crowning Around
If you finished the quest during a previous run (2023, 2024 twice, or 2025), skip the dialogue. Returning participants can enter Blunderville directly on October 7, 1:00 AM PDT, with no rerun of prerequisites.
How MGF works
Blunderville mirrors Fall Guys' obstacle-course format: three stages, one victor per match. You earn Manderville Gold Saucer Fame (MGF) based on your final rank — MGF is awarded instantly each round, whether you qualified or got eliminated. MGF can only be earned during the live window, and the MGF Trader in Blunderville Square (X:3.8, Y:3.1) is the only place to spend it. Spend it before 7:59 AM PDT on October 27 or it disappears with the event.
Reward tier priority (what to spend MGF on first)
| Priority | Item | MGF | Why buy it first |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Rhiyes mount (Rhiyes Identification Key) | 410 | Returns irregularly; this is one of two mount sources and the only one tied to Blunderville |
| 2 | Pink Bean minion | 350 | Mini-pet flagship of the collab, returns irregularly |
| 2 | Pegwin minion | 350 | Pairs with Pink Bean for the collection piece |
| 3 | Gentlebean Knit Cap / Parka / Bottoms / Shoes (full set) | ~1,640 across 4 pieces | Glamour set; complete the set in one purchase if you have the budget |
| 4 | Matte Winner's Crown + Glossy Winner's Crown | 410 each | Cosmetic flair; collectors only |
| 5 | Ballroom Etiquette – Embracing Blunders (emote) | 410 | Cheaper than mount, but only if a single emote fits your look |
| 6 | Everybody Falls (Fall Guys Theme) Orchestrion Roll | 220 | For music lovers and Glamour Plate audio fans |
| 7 | Standard Rationing Manual / Gold Saucer Aetheryte Ticket / Wide Spectrum #1 Dye | 150–200 | Skip unless you're actively missing these |
Full spend on everything is roughly 6,670 MGF. If your time budget is tight, Rhiyes + the two minions = 1,110 MGF is the realistic floor for "I'm glad I logged in."
Two notes veterans actually need
The match queue scales with how many players are online in your data center. During peak hours, queues run roughly four minutes; off-peak (US/EU weekend mornings), you're often waiting twice that. If you're trying to hit a specific MGF goal before October 27, play on weeknights during the 7–11 PM PDT window.
The collaboration returns at irregular intervals after this run — Square Enix has confirmed it will reappear as a special event, but no future date has been announced. Treat this October window as your only guaranteed shot.
Patch 7.57: The Maintenance Bridge (October 13)
Square Enix announced all-region FFXIV maintenance for October 13, 2026. The client's target version after maintenance is 2026.10.06.0000.0000 — Patch 7.57. The MogStation, FF Logs imports, and Lodestone data services go dark at 1:00 PM (4:00 PM UTC the same day) and return when maintenance finishes, typically within the 4-hour window the announcement cites.
What 7.57 likely contains
Corroborated across Lodestone and Patch Tracker notes; specifics land in the official notes:
- Routine bug fixes through the Beastmaster / Occult Crescent content
- PvP Series balance adjustments (Series 12 ended with 7.56; the next numbered Series typically starts with the next number-version patch, but no Series 13 announcement has dropped yet)
- Item restoration cases for accounts affected by the September PvP Series 12 results glitch
- Infrastructure changes in preparation for Same-Region Player Matching (which itself has its own staggered rollout — see below)
What 7.57 is unlikely to contain
- New raid tier — the next major raid cycle is part of 7.58
- A job rework — the 8.0 systems being designed for Evercold will arrive when Evercold arrives
- New expansion content — All Saints' Wake is an event-layer addition, not a 7.57 patch item
⚠ Practical prep: Claim unclaimed Series 12 PvP rewards before maintenance begins — they get swept when the new client version lands. Cash out seasonal MGF before the patch day if MGF Trader stock is high. Pull any pending Moogle Treasure Trove tokens before maintenance. Avoid listing high-tier crafted gear on the Market Board in the four hours before maintenance; prices swing unpredictably as stragglers list items that won't transfer cleanly when clients reconnect.
The October 13 date is also the last day of A Nocturne for Heroes 2026, so the FFXV crossover window closes a few hours before maintenance starts. If you haven't picked up the Regalia Type-G mount yet (it requires running The Haunting of Bal Magilla via the seasonal NPC Kipih Jakkya at Ul'dah, Steps of Nald X:8.5, Y:9.7), do it on the morning of October 13 rather than waiting for evening — the cut-off is 7:59 AM PDT.
All Saints' Wake 2026 (October 15 – November 2)
Square Enix confirmed the annual Eorzean Halloween event returns on October 15, 1:00 AM PDT, running through November 2, 6:59 AM PST (note the PDT → PST shift at 2:00 AM local on November 2 — the cutoff date is also the day clocks fall back).
What you need: Level 15+ and you're in. The starter NPC is the Pumpkin-headed Apparition in Old Gridania at X:10.2, Y:9.4.
Headline rewards (per Lodestone pre-event notice):
- Grisly Bear Head and Grisly Bear Suit glamour pieces
- Six new seasonal furnishings — exact names listed at event start, but the suite typically covers interior walls, lighting, and a centerpiece
The hardest part of All Saints' Wake is the time-limited questline — once November 2 ends, the quest chain cannot be completed. All Saints' Wake progress that ties to the seasonal NPS (the Apparition) becomes permanently locked. Glamour and furnishing items stay in your inventory once earned.
If you only have one weekend in the window, the Saturday of October 25–26 is your most efficient slot: friend list activity peaks, the seasonal mini-event usually grants bonus rewards on weekend logins, and you're less likely to hit the connectivity dips that surround patch-day traffic.
Keybound Brawler: Gold Saucer's Newest Permanent Activity (October 28)
Keybound Brawler is a new four-player competitive typing minigame arriving at The Gold Saucer on October 28, 2026. The theme is Final Fantasy VII Remake: characters type out combat-related prompts while flashy damage numbers, Materia icons, and FFVII mechanical motifs cascade behind them.
Why this matters
- It's the first new Gold Saucer activity added since Island Sanctuary tokens hit the board, and it's been roughly two years since Gold Saucer got a real permanent fixture
- It's multiplayer-locked — three other players mean the queue, not solo grinding
- It's FFVII crossover-themed — sits in a different bucket than seasonal events like Fall Guys: there's no hard end date; Keybound Brawler stays in Gold Saucer after launch
For now, Square Enix has only confirmed the launch date (October 28) and the FFVII Remake theming. Detailed reward list, MGP cost-to-entry, and the season-format (rated? Matchmaking rating? Casual?) have not been officially published as of this writing. Players who want to be ready should:
- Ensure Gold Saucer is unlocked — pre-req is finishing the It Could Happen to You quest, same as Fall Guys
- Have a Level 50+ character — the activity's typing difficulty is calibrated around an MSQ-completion player (specific level cap not yet announced)
- Reserve roughly 90 minutes for a first-run session: queue + tutorial + first three rounds + reward screen
Expect a more detailed breakdown here once the official activity page goes live closer to October 28.
Same-Region Player Matching: Finally Rolling Out
This is the change the raiding community has been waiting on for two years. Same-Region Player Matching lets Party Finder match across an entire physical data center, instead of forcing you to pick a specific logical datacenter world.
The rollout sequence is staggered:
- Japan — launched in mid-October 2026
- North America and Europe — scheduled to follow, with North America targeted before the end of October 2026 if the Japan rollout lands clean
For NA players on Aether, Primal, Crystal, or Dynamis, this means your Savage or Ultimate Party Finder pulls will finally include characters from outside your home world but inside the same regional gateway. The EU technicals (Light, Chaos, Materia, Meteor) get the same change.
The catch: Same-Region Player Matching is for Party Finder content. It does not change world visit limits, Market board access (still per-world, per-data-center), or Free Company / Linkshell visibility (still per-world). The biggest practical change: Savage and Ultimate static recruitment widens dramatically.
What to Prepare in Your Gil Pouch Before All of This
Three pieces of preparation are worth doing before any of the above collapses your schedule.
- Potion and food buff stock. The first week of November tends to coincide with All Saints' Wake + Keybound Brawler + (likely) the start of Same-Region Player Matching Savages. High-end food and tinctures spike in price during content clumping. Stocking through the second week of October is cheaper than the second week of November.
- MGP reserve for the Gold Sauer's new entry fee. Keybound Brawler is Gold Saucer content; expect an MGP or pass cost. Square Enix typically gives Gold Saucer currency a small MGP boost in patches that add new activities — if you already have 100k+ MGP sitting in your Currency tab, you may not need to top up; otherwise, prioritise MGP grinding through the next two weeks.
- Market board listing sanity. Patch days wipe the front page of the Market Board as everyone re-lists at once. If you're sitting on high-iLvl crafted gear, listing it during off-peak hours (Wed/Thu afternoons) usually clears faster than Mon/Tue rush-hour.
If you'd rather not grind all the prerequisite currencies by hand, here's where to top up:
FAQ
No. Level 15 is the hard floor for the Fall Guys collaboration. Players below 15 can level via Hall of the Novice, Palace of the Dead (solo), or a Free Company's daily roulette to hit the cap. The Fall Guys window runs through October 27 PDT, so even fast-levelers have time.
No. Each account can only hold one of each Blunderville reward. MGF received is still yours to spend; if Rhiyes isn't claimable on your account, focus your MGF on the Gentlebean set or a Winner's Crown instead.
No. MGF is event-currency — at 7:59 AM PDT on October 27, the MGF Trader leaves Blunderville and any unspent MGF is cleared. This is also why "spend everything before the cutoff" matters.
As of this writing, Square Enix has not published the matchmaking format. The activity is "permanent," which suggests it will have a reward track rather than a seasonal ladder — but confirm at launch on October 28.
No character data is wiped by maintenance. The only thing you can lose is unclaimed Series 12 PvP rewards and currencies tied to events ending on October 13 (A Nocturne for Heroes, last day).
No. World congestion rules still apply to login and to world visit. Same-Region Player Matching only changes who can be in your Party Finder group; it does not change who can join your world.
Three Things Are Enough
Most FFXIV October guides try to list everything, then feel overwhelming. Three priorities are plenty:
- Run Blunderville at least 5 times before October 20. That puts you past the Fall Guys mount/MGF grind and locks in Rhiyes + the two minions if MGF luck is with you. Anything beyond that is bonus.
- Don't sit on the All Saints' Wake questline after October 25. The window runs through November 2 PST, but if you're in a different time zone and forget a step, the chain locks you out permanently. Start early.
- Try Keybound Brawler once on October 28. Even if the typing minigame isn't your thing, first-week participants get the early queue window and tend to lock in the cosmetic titles first.
October ends on October 31, but the FFXIV calendar doesn't. From here, the path is Patch 7.58 (November) → 7.59 (December) → Evercold (January 2027). Soak in the Gold Saucer.
