How to Get the Cornucopia Rod in Fisch: Full Pilgrim Quest Guide

If you have been grinding Fischgiving events every year like I have, you already know that seasonal rods are often the highlight of the entire update. This year, the Cornucopia Rod takes the spotlight. It is a seasonal rod with solid lure speed, strong resilience, and a unique passive that makes it a real powerhouse during the event. And since this rod can save you hours of farming rare fish, many players rush to finish the Pilgrim quests as fast as possible. If you want to speed things up even more, some players even like to buy Fisch fish from PVPBank to skip the most time consuming catches.

Now, the good news is that getting the Cornucopia Rod in Fisch is not overly complicated. The bad news is that a couple of the Pilgrim quests require items that are not easy to obtain unless you know exactly where to look. That is where this full Fisch Cornucopia Rod guide comes in. I am going to break down every Pilgrim task, every reward, the best ways to gather the required items, and all the tricks veteran players use to finish the entire chain faster.

What the Cornucopia Rod Does and Why Players Want It

Before diving into the step by step tasks, it helps to understand what you are working for. The Cornucopia Rod excels in lure speed and resilience and has respectable luck for finding rare fish. The real prize, though, is its passive ability. Every fish caught with the Cornucopia Rod has a chance to mutate into the Gravy version, which comes with a massive selling multiplier. In other words, this rod is not only great for completing the Fischgiving event but also for farming money afterward.

The Cornucopia Rod also has a chance to create a pumpkin storm that boosts your progress speed for a short period. This passive makes the rod feel snappy and energetic, perfect for long fishing sessions.

How to Start the Pilgrim Quests in Fisch

To get started, you will need to head to Moosewood. Use the Fisch GPS and travel to the location at the coordinates four zero two, one three four, two five seven. The Pilgrim NPC stands in this area. Talk to him and begin the first of six quests. After every task, return to the Pilgrim to receive your reward and unlock the next step.

The quests must be done in order. If you skip one or do not turn it in, the remaining tasks will not appear.

All Pilgrim Quests and Their Rewards

Here is a breakdown of every quest you must complete, along with the rewards you receive.

Bring one Pilgrim Hat
Reward: Apple Cider Lantern

Bring any Turkey
Reward: Acorn Bobber

Trade three Turkey
Reward: Gravy Boat Fisch

Bring one Shiny Turkey
Reward: Apple Pie Slice Bobber

Complete all Fischgiving quests
Reward: Lit Haystack Lantern

Bring one Gravy Turkey
Reward: Cornucopia Rod

Most of these steps are simple, but two parts stand out as the most time consuming. Getting the Pilgrim Hat and getting the Gravy Turkey. I will explain both in detail below.

How to Get a Pilgrim Hat in Fisch

The Pilgrim Hat is required for the very first quest. Thankfully, it is not tied to any rare biome or extreme weather condition. You can find it easily on Maple Meadow Island, and during the Fischgiving event it can also drop anywhere on the map.

However, the Pilgrim Hat has limited rarity. The best way to increase your chances is to use an aurora totem along with a fishing rod that has decent luck. The higher your luck is, the faster you will get your Pilgrim Hat.

How to Get Turkeys for Pilgrim Tasks

Most Turkeys needed for the Pilgrim questline are the same Turkeys used for the Fischgiving event quests. Every Turkey spawns during the Autumn season and requires insect bait. Although these Turkeys are not incredibly rare, some of them spawn in locations that may slow you down.

Here are their general spawn locations.

Pioneer Turkey appears in Moosewood
Magma Turkey appears at Roslit Volcano
Sunny Turkey appears on Sunstone Island
Frost Turkey appears on Snowcap Island
Lost Turkey appears in Lost Jungle
Ghost Turkey appears at Castaway Cliff
Poseidon Turkey appears in the open ocean and Grand Reef
Pirate Turkey appears at Forsaken Shores
Murky Turkey appears in Mushgrove Swamps
Mossy Turkey appears at Terrapin Island
Coral Turkey appears in the coral areas of Roslit Bay
Slate Turkey appears in the deep ocean and at Keeper Altar

You only need a few standard Turkeys for the Pilgrim quests, so this part is usually fast. The only exception is the Shiny Turkey.

How to Get a Shiny Turkey

A Shiny Turkey is the rarest variation of normal Turkeys. While most Turkeys have consistent spawn locations, a Shiny Turkey appears entirely at random. Your best strategy is to fish during the Autumn season in high density Turkey zones like Moosewood, Lost Jungle, or Sunstone Island.

Use insect bait, and consider switching to a rod with high luck like an enchanted mid game rod to speed up your chances.

How to Complete All Fischgiving Quests for the Pilgrim Task

One of the Pilgrim tasks requires you to finish every Fischgiving quest on Maple Meadow. You will receive these quests from NPCs around the island, and each one demands a specific rare event fish and a specific Turkey. Once turned in, every quest rewards you with Tasty Turkey Legs, Bountiful Bait Crates, and seasonal titles.

All Fischgiving fish have increased spawn rates during the event, but some still depend on volcanic events, uprising events, or shark admin events. Here is where you can find each required fish.

Mossjaw appears in Lost Jungle
Treble Bass appears near seaweed areas in Moosewood
Manta Ray appears in the open ocean and coral reef
Scalloped Hammerhead appears during shark events in Castaway Cliffs
Captain Goldfish appears in the freshwater pond at Forsaken Shores
Grand Reef Guardian appears in Grand Reef
Tartaruga appears on Sunstone Island
Molten Banshee appears during eruptions in Roslit Volcano
Baby Pond Emperor appears during uprising events on Snowcap Island
Sea Turtle appears around Terrapin Island
Handfish appears in Mushgrove Swamp
Umbral Shark appears during admin shark events at Keepers Altar

Once you finish all NPC quests, you can return to the Pilgrim to turn in the task.

How to Get a Gravy Turkey for the Final Pilgrim Quest

The hardest part of the entire Cornucopia Rod questline is getting a Gravy Turkey. The Gravy mutation is normally created using the Cornucopia Rod itself, which means you cannot simply fish one up unless you already own the rod.

This creates a loop that confuses many new players. But experienced players get around this in one of two ways.

One option is trading. If your friends or guildmates already have the Cornucopia Rod, they can fish up a Gravy Turkey and trade it to you.

If trading is not an option, you will need Fischgiving bait. You get Fischgiving bait by opening Bountiful Bait Crates, which drop from quests and event fishing. The crate includes three bait types that can force a Gravy mutation: Pumpkin Pieces, Gourd Bites, and Cranberry Cluster.

Use these baits on Turkey spawns and keep fishing until you get a Gravy Turkey.

Best Enchantments for the Cornucopia Rod

Once you finally earn the Cornucopia Rod, you will want to enchant it as soon as possible. The stats are decent on their own, but the rod shines with the right enchant relic.

These are the top enchantments players use:

Herculean
Adds significant control, improved progress speed, and raises the max carry weight.

Controlled
Adds much better control, making tough battles easier to manage.

Mystical
Increases luck, resilience, lure speed, and progress speed. This one is all round powerful and arguably the best enchantment for the Cornucopia Rod.

Final Thoughts

The Cornucopia Rod in Fisch is easily one of the most enjoyable seasonal rods to use thanks to its fast lure speed and the Gravy mutation passive. Finishing the Pilgrim quests does take some effort, especially when hunting down the rare Pilgrim Hat, the Shiny Turkey, and the Gravy Turkey. But once you complete the tasks, the rewards are absolutely worth it and you gain a rod that makes the entire event much more rewarding.

If you stay consistent, use the right bait, and fish in the correct locations, you will complete the Pilgrim questline much faster than most players. And with the Cornucopia Rod in hand, Fischgiving becomes a whole lot more fun.
